Mike is a retired businessman and has represented Rochford South division on Essex County council for the past four years. He lives in the area and his family grew up in the division.
Since 2017, he has been busy visiting and helping residents throughout the area from Foulness to Rochford, dealing with concerns raised by residents including highways, schools and the environment.
He has secured funding for St Marks food bank in Rochford, the speed watch team, the Great Wakering Sea Scouts, Defibrillators in Barling and Foulness and CCTV for the Memorial Hall in Great Wakering.
He set up the A127 task force to work with government and all the local councils to secure funding for improvements.
He is a member of the Regional Flood Forum working with the Environmental Agency to deal with flooding issues.
If re-elected, he will continue working for road infrastructure improvements and lobbying for the new school on the Hall Road estate.
He sits on the Airport Consultancy committee and has held a number of deputy portfolios on the council.
