About Me

I’ve proudly represented the Chelmer division since 2013, championing causes and handling many hundreds of individual concerns across potholes, pavements, school travel and admissions, highways etc.

As Cabinet Member for Health and Adults, I’ve sought to transform how we care for older people and those with learning/physical disabilities, mental illness etc, while I’ve been at the heart of handling the horrible Covid crisis.

Blind since 1990, I’ve had multiple roles in the voluntary and commercial and public sectors as evidenced by the award of the MBE, OBE and CBE for services to community, charity and business respectively.

A dad and grandad, I live with my wonderful wife Yvonne in Chelmer Village
