Cabinet Member for Children’s Services and Early Years, Cllr Beverley Egan, visited the local children’s mental health hub in Castle Point recently to mark Children’s Mental Health Week 2022. Cllr Egan was taken on a tour of the building, met with mental health practitioners and learnt more about good practice in children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing.
Children's mental health is important every day, not just during Children's Mental Health Week. Conservative led Essex County Council are committed to ensuring help is available for every child and young person in Essex.
The hub in Castle Point, where Cllr Egan is a local member, is just one of many facilities offering mental health and emotional wellbeing support for children and young people.
If you have noticed a change in your child’s mood or behaviour, find information, advice and local services that can help.
